Description
Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Guard Gloss is a durable water based gloss finish, suitable for interior use on wood and metal. Surface protection technology provides defence against wear and tear, scratches and greasy finger marks. Long lasting finish with advanced application qualities and great hiding power.
Preparation
All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Prime bare wood with Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat. Prime all
other bare surfaces with Johnstone’s Trade Advanced Multi Surface Primer. No primer or undercoat is required on previously painted surfaces, prepare as normal and apply direct; however, for strong colour changes we recommend the Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat in the final colour of choice. Apply one full coat of Johnstone’s Aqua Guard Primer Undercoat to all correctly prepared surfaces before application of Johnstone’s Trade Aqua Guard Gloss.
Application
Ensure good ventilation during application and drying Stir well. Easy to apply by brush, roller and spray. If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use. When attempting a wide colour change additional coats may be required. Do not apply in temperatures below 8°C. When applying by brush, we recommend that you regularly wash the brush out in clean water to prevent drying an clogging of bristles.
