Description
Zinsser DIF Wallpaper Stripper is the patented wallpaper stripper based on enzyme action for fast and easy removal of wall coverings. With DIF wall coverings can be stripped quickly and reliably. DIF is different from any other wallpaper remover solution on the market. It is the only one that contains special enzymes – a unique, patented formulation with a superior, more effective blend of wetting agents that speeds penetration of the wallpaper and resolubilization of the paste.
In contrast to Zinsser DIF Wallpaper Stripper, ordinary wallpaper remover solutions merely wet the paper and the paste, and therefore require a lot of scraping and do not work well except on loose sections. Softened paste tends to build up on the scraper blades, blunting them and leading to wall gouging. DIF Wallpaper Stripper eliminated damage to walls caused by removal of uncoated, water-permeable wallpaper.
Using Zinsser DIF Wallpaper Stripper is better than attempting to remove wallpaper with hot water, vinegar and water, or other home brew solutions. DIF requires no steamers, so you do not have to bear the cost, mess, difficulty, or danger associated with the use of wallpaper steamers.
Application
- Before using DIF Fast-Acting Liquid, protect carpeting, floors, furniture and adjacent areas.
- For big projects, apply using a roller or a medium nap (3/8?? 1?2?) roller. Pour enough DIF Fast-Acting Liquid to fill a
plastic paint tray or pour multiple containers into a plastic 5- gallon pail, insert a roller grid and load the roller from the pail. - Apply enough DIF Fast-Acting Liquid to leave a thick layer of stripper on surface of the wallpaper.
- When rolling use slow, steady rolling motions to avoid splattering the stripper.
- Be sure to apply in corners and tight spots.
- Coverage Rate: One gallon of Zinsser DIF will cover a little over half of a 10? x 12? room with 8? ceiling (approximately 300 square feet or 6 bolts of wallpaper). Note that coverage will vary with porosity of wallpaper and thickness of product application.
