Description
Leyland Trade Fast Drying Satin paint utilises advanced water bourne technology, delivering the application and performance qualities associated with traditional solvent based paint but with the added advantages of improved turnaround times increasing profit. A non yellowing formulation, easy clean up and reduced environmental impact, suitable for both interior or exterior painting.
Preparation
- Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease.
- Rub down sound previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of Leyland Trade Fast Drying Undercoat.
- Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
- Apply Knotting Solution to knots and resinous surfaces and prime exposed wood and metal surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer.
- Special precautions should be taken during the surface preparation of pre1960’s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
- Stir well before use.
- Apply Leyland Trade Fast Drying Satin by brush or roller.
- Apply liberally and evenly for a smooth finish.
- Under normal conditions, allow 4 hours before applying a second coat if required.
- Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10°C or externally when rain is imminent.
- 1 litre will cover approximately 15 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface.
- Strong or contrasting colours may require additional coats.
- When using more than one can of a colour in the same room, intermix before use.
Cleaning
- Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning.
- Clean immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly.
- Replace lid firmly.
- Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
Health and Safety
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
- Do not ingest.
- If medical advice is needed have container or label to hand.
- To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position.
- Do not allow to freeze.
