Meet The team
With more than 35 years in the coatings industry Scott is passionate about delivering a comprehensive range of products to service the wood finishing industry. I started back in 1987 with Shipley Paint and I got the bug, I really enjoyed learning about paints and finishes in all there forms, French polishing, Decorative, Industrial metal and wood finishing. I was at Shipley paint for about 10 years but wanted to become a sales person on the road, I moved to Johnstone’s paint to become depot manager at the Bradford branch, 12 months later I moved to YDM who gave me a shot on the road and I loved it. Twelve months on and I moved again to a manufacturer J W Bollom, I went to Joinery coatings in 2006 and was introduced to the Gori brand a direct competitor to Teknos.. I have for almost all my years been closely associated to wood finishing.
Paint Monster is our new vehicle to supply a comprehensive range of products to the wood finishing industry.
We supply abrasives, adhesives, brushes, decorative paints, fillers, Interior lacquers and paints, exterior joinery coatings, spray equipment and much more

Charlotte, Scott’s wife brings a life long history in the paint world, in her words she grew up sat on the counter of her dad’s successful DIY and trade paints business Darlington. Combining the strength of the two business.s it is possible to offer an enormous product range. Not listed on the website but we can offer everything from a Spray machine to a metal dustbin and a plastic dust pan and brush set.
Jack .. Jack has been with Scott and Charlotte for a couple of years, coming into the business in the midst of a pandemic. Jack is the man with degree’s and a Masters.
Currently a small team with drive, determination and ambition in spades we are looking to grow the business whilst offering our most competitive prices and the best service we can.
We have pulled many brands together to offer our customers a wide choice of products to complete all interior or exterior coating projects. We supply paint and finishes plus the ancillaries to re-paint boats to living room walls, tunnels to steam engines. Almost everything has some kind of paint, coating varnish etc up on it and we can supply a large proportion of those needs.
Formerly a Technical Sales manager before starting a contract spray finishing business in 2009, it didn’t take too long for Scott to set up a paint sales website with his wife in conjunction with her family paint business. This business is primarily a trade decorative paint site selling mainly retail, trade decorating products. His passion is to supply paint and finishes that offer the substrates longevity, and lasting protection.
We supply predominantly water based coatings, for interior or exterior use dealing with mainly joinery, shopfitting, exhibition and kitchen manufacturing companies.
We do this through our Paint Monster Website to cover the whole of the UK with a complete carrier service, more locally to us in the North of England we can utilise a van service.
