Description
Bartoline Sugar Soap is a powerful effective cleaner used extensively in the painting and decorating world for the preparation and cleaning of surfaces prior to painting. Powerful enough to cut through grease, grime, nicotine stains, finger marks or mould without leaving a residue which may hinder the adhesion of the fresh paint, meaning it could peel or flake prematurely.
Sugar soap is ideal for use on internal or external surfaces it is ideal at the removal of moss and fungal growth on flagstones, removes grease and oil from garage floors and driveways, effective on asphalt, brick, stone, plaster, previously paint surfaces.
Powder – Mix 500gm in to 10lt of Warm water or partial mixes
Concentrate Bottle – Add approx 1/4 of bottle to 4.5lt of Warm water
Spray on application – Direct application
Bartoline Sugar Soap is specially formulated for the cleaning and preparation of all paintwork. Enables the decorator to clean and remove dirt, grease, nicotine, etc, prior to painting and is also excellent as a general household cleaner. Simple to use, non-toxic and is available in standard bottles or a ready-to-use handy trigger spray removing the requirement to dilute with water prior to use.
Application:Â May be used on any painted hard surface, tiles, vinyl floors, baths, wash basins etc.
Preparation and cleaning of surfaces for repainting
- Add approximately 125ml of the bottle to 4.5 litres of warm water.
- Apply liberally using a sponge or absorbent cloth.
- Work from the bottom of the surface to the top to avoid run lines.
- Rinse with fresh water and allow to dry completely.
Household Cleaning
- Add approximately 50ml of the bottle to 4.5 litres of warm water.
- Soak sponge or absorbent cloth in the solution and wring out so it does not drip.
- Wipe surface vigorously.
- Rinse with clean cold water. Tiles, vinyl floors and paintwork will not require rinsing.
- To clean bath or wash basin pour a little neat sugar soap onto a damp cloth and wipe. Rinse with clean cold water.
Precautions
- Any spillage should be mopped up immediately as spotting may occur.
- Cover polished surfaces, lino, carpets and soft furnishings to avoid splashing.
