Description
Blackfriar Interior Seal Damp Paint – don’t let damp patches spoil your interior decoration, protect it with Blackfriar Interior Seal Damp. It’s excellent for use prior to decorating as it can be painted or papered over, and is suitable for surfaces such as plaster, brickwork, cement and mortar. Penetrates surfaces and seals effectively against damp.
Preparation
Make sure the surface to be painted is clean, dry and free from any contaminants. Remove any mould – if using an anti-mould solution then allow to dry completely.
Application
Stir well with a broad stirrer. The manufacturer recommends applying at least two coats, lightly rubbing down the surface between coats. The product can be applied with brush, roller or spray, but applying with a brush is recommended. Apply Blackfriar Interior Seal Damp at least 300mm beyond all sides of the dampness.
Not suitable for thinning. Do not paint in cold (under 5°C), damp or humid conditions. The source of the damp should be rectified before applying this product. Not suitable for use over wallpaper. Will not cure efflorescence. Application onto damp surfaces will prevent full penetration of the product into the surface and will also prolong drying time. Surfaces should be as dry as possible before application.
- Coverage of up to 12m² per litre per coat depending on porosity
- Touch dry in 2-4 hours
- Recoat after 16 hours and within 3 days
Safety
- Keep Blackfriar Interior Seal Damp out of reach of children.
- Read label before use.
- Flammable liquid and vapour. Keep away from heat, sparks, open flames, hot surfaces.
- Use only in well-ventilated areas. May cause drowsiness or dizziness.
- If on skin, rinse skin with water or shower.
- If medical advice is needed, have product container or label at hand.
