Description
Blackfriar Quick-Drying Radiator Paint is specially formulated for use on radiators, pipework and storage heaters. Blackfriar’s radiator paint can withstand temperatures of up to 150°C / 300°F. A hard wearing non yellowing water based formulation makes it ideal around any home.
Preparation
Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be finely abraded and degreased prior to direct application of Blackfriar Quick Drying Radiator Paint. Remove any rust and abrade back to a clean bright surface before priming with Blackfriar Multi-Surface Primer. Coat new or bare areas with Blackfriar Multi-Surface Primer.
Application
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer. The product may be applied by brush, roller or spray. If brushing, use a good quality soft brush, apply with light strokes finishing off in one direction. Leave to dry for one hour then turn the radiator on for one hour. Allow to cool then apply another coat if required following the same procedure. If spraying, the product may be thinned up to 10% with water if needed.
Thinning
Maximum 10% water.
Limitations
Do not use Blackfriar Quick-Drying Radiator Paint under cold (less than 10°C), damp or humid conditions. Do not apply to warm or hot surfaces. Protect from water or steam for 2-3 days after application. Avoid using harsh cleaning agents on the finish.
