Crown Clean Extreme Stain Resistant Scrubbable Matt White

Description

Crown Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt offers a finish that is 100% more stain resistant compared to conventional matt vinyl emulsion. It has superior cleaning capabilities which do not compromise the integrity or finished appearance of the paint film. New and aged stains can be easily cleaned away, returning walls to an ‘as new’ condition – reducing the need for costly redecoration. A true flat matt with 10,000 scrubs durability and it has been independently tested to ISO 11998 class 1 scrub rating for guaranteed results in high traffic areas.

Preparation – New Surfaces

• All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied.
• Powdery surfaces should be primed with one coat of  Water Based Stabilising Solution.
• Polished or dense surfaces should be primed with Crown Trade Alkali Resisting Sealer or where a waterbased alternative is required Crown Trade Grip Extreme.
• Porous surfaces should be coated with a ‘mist’ coat of Crown Trade Clean Extreme Scrubbable Matt diluted with 40% clean water by volume.

Preparation – Previously Decorated Surfaces

• All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied e.g. dirt, grease etc.
• Remove all loose, failing or suspect paint.
• Feather edges of sound paint.
• Organic growth must be removed and the areas treated with Crown Trade Fungicidal Solution.
• Fill any fixing holes, cracks and shallow surface defects with Tetrion or similar Trade Ready Mixed Filler.
• Patch prime bare, filled and powdery areas as for new surfaces above.
• Wash remaining sound paint with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove any contaminants, frequently changing the water.
• Any glossy or eggshell surfaces should be wet abraded to provide a key.
• Rinse with clean water to remove all residues.
• Allow to dry.
• If after cleaning any areas are still contaminated with substances likely to cause staining and / or bleeding, patch prime with one coat of Stain Block Primer , Zinsser or similar.

Application

Apply two coats as required. Certain colours may require additional coats to give complete obliteration.
