Description

Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Eggshell delivers a classic low sheen eggshell finish ideal for use on prepared interior and exterior joinery and metalwork. Its Breatheasy formulation, which is 99% solvent free, makes it low odour and quick drying, enabling minimal disruption during decoration. It has excellent flow properties and provides a classic low sheen eggshell finish. Provides a solvent based finish with all the benefits of a water based system.

Preparation

• Ensure the surface is sound, clean, dry and free from any possible contaminates such as algae, grease, dirt, and dust.
• Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat should be used as a base coat. However, Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Eggshell can be applied directly over a conventional system providing the surface is sound and thoroughly abraded prior to application.
• If a change of colour is required, Crown Trade Fastflow Quick Dry Primer Undercoat should be used.
• Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly washed and abraded to provide a key, rinse with clean water and allow to dry.

Application

• Stir well before use.
• Apply using a good quality synthetic brush or a good quality micro fibre medium pile roller, to achieve an even thickness.
• To assist application on porous substrates the surface may be dampened slightly.
• Maintain a wet edge.
• On timber lay off in the direction of the grain.
• Avoid excessive de-nibbing in-between coats.
• For airless spray dilution may be required. For further information follow the spray manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Always intermix packs for colour consistency. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application.

Safety

• Please refer to the Safety, Health and Environmental Information on the container, or the Safety Data Sheet attached.
• Take special precautions during the surface preparation of pre 1960’s painted surfaces as they may contain harmful lead.
• When preparing all surfaces avoid the inhalation of dust and/or metal particles. Wear a suitable face mask.
•  Store in secure dry conditions between 5°C and 40°C and inaccessible to children or animals.
• Containers should be kept closed during storage.
• Do not empty into drains, watercourses or access routes to septic tanks.
