Description
Crown Trade Satin is a solvent based durable satin finish for interior wood & metal work, offering an excellent alternative to a gloss finish. Suitable for interior use only, mainly used as a trim paint for interior doors, skirtings. Crwon satin finish can be applied to wood or metal and previously coated surfaces.
New Wood Surfaces: All surfaces must be sound, clean, suitably dry and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Rub down with a suitable grade of abrasive paper and round sharp edges to a 1-3mm radius. Remove all dust. Timber with oils/extractives must be swabbed with clean methylated spirits, frequently changing the face of the cloths. Treat any knots with two coats of fresh knotting. Fill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with filler or 2 pack wood filler. Apply one coat of Crown Trade Wood Primer followed by one coat of Crown Trade Full Undercoat.
Metal Surfaces: Lightly abrade to a bright (not polished) surface – excluding galvanised surfaces. Wash with hot water and liquid detergent solution to remove oil, grease or any other contaminants, frequently changing the water. Rinse thoroughly with clean water. Allow to dry. When dry prime with one coat of Metal Primer followed by one coat of Crown Trade Full Undercoat
