Description

Fiddes Clear Glaze provides a high level of protection to areas like floors and working surfaces, helping to achieve a quality, durable finish for interior wood. Absolutely ideal for doors, floors, fine furniture, panelling and cabinet work.

Fiddes Clear Glaze is an easy to use, superior quality interior single pack finish, formulated to provide very high standards of resistance and surface abrasion on most interior wood surfaces. Easily applied by brush or pad, Fiddes Clear Glaze displays excellent flow and high build properties.

Preparation

Ensure all surfaces are clean, dry, and free from any previous finish.
Fill any cracks/knots where required.
Sand the substrate with a fine 120/150 grade sanding paper or 120/150 grit sanding disk, removing all traces of dust.

Application

Ensure all areas to be coated are extremely well ventilated during and after application.
Always test on a small area prior to initial application.
Maximum 2 coats recommended, 3 on softwood or more porous timber.
Apply at room temperature.
Fiddes Clear Glaze is formulated for application directly, thin 10% with White Spirit if required.
Coverage Rate: 14 square metres per litre, depending on substrate and method of application.
Stir contents thoroughly before and during use, and apply in a warm, well ventilated room.
Apply THINLY using a good quality bristle or synthetic brush, and lay EVENLY, following the direction of the grain.
Leave to dry 4-6 hours in warm, dry well ventilated conditions.

Clean Up

For regular light cleaning, apply a damp cloth should leave the resulting clean area to dry.
Periodically, an application of Fiddes Floor Surface Cleaner is recommended, followed by Fiddes Liquid Floor Wax or Mellow Wax.
