Leyland Heavy Duty Floor Paint

Description

Leyland Heavy Duty Floor Paint. A durable, hard wearing, satin finish ideal for industrial warehouses and garages, suitable for most concrete and wooden floors. An excellent heavy duty floor paint for foot traffic, cars and light forklift truck use.

Coverage Rate: Leyland estimate that 1 litre will cover approximately 11 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. When using more than one tin of a colour in the same area, intermix before use.

Brand New Concrete – We Do Not Recommend applying a paint coating for a few months. Recommended drying period for concrete is 1″ per month 6″ depth 6 months etc..  Floor paint may not adhere to the new surface due to fluorescence salts drying from the new concrete.

Preparation

• Ensure all floor surfaces to be painted are sound, clean, dry and completely free from oil, grease and polish.
• New concrete floors should preferably be allowed to mature for several months before painting and the moisture content should be checked before work commences.
• Concrete surfaces should also be free of dust, grit, cement fines and laitance.
• Very dense smooth concrete surfaces (such as power floated concrete) normally require to be acid etched before painting in order to promote satisfactory adhesion.

Application

• Stir Leyland Heavy Duty Floor Paint well before use.
• Apply two coats, allowing overnight drying between coats under normal drying conditions.
• Where necessary, to ease application, the first coat may be thinned with up to 5% by volume of White Spirit.
• Apply by brush or roller.

Cleaning

• Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning.
• Clean equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute.
• Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
• Replace lid firmly.

• Avoid contact with skin and eyes.
• Do not ingest.
