Description
Leyland Non Drip Gloss is an easy-to-use, drip resistant, hard wearing, gloss finish which requires no undercoat. Ideal for use on interior and exterior wood and metalwork.
Coverage Rate: Leyland estimate that 1 litre will cover approximately 14 square metres, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. Strong or contrasting colours may require additional coats.
Drying Times: Touch dry in 2-4 hours. Recoatable after 16-24 hours.
Preparation
- Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease.
- Remove all loose and defective paint.
- Prime all new and bare surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer.
- Rub down sound previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper to provide a key.
- Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
- Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
- Do not stir.
- The brush should be fully loaded for best results.
- Occasionally, a small amount of liquid may appear in the tin, if this is not used in the first brushful, remove excess.
- Apply Leyland Non Drip Gloss evenly by brush and avoid overspreading.
- Allow to dry overnight before applying a second coat if required.
- Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.
Cleaning
- Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning.
- Clean equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute.
- Some local authorities have special facilities for disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
- Replace lid firmly after use.
