Leyland Trade Hardwearing Matt is an extremely durable, hardwearing finish that is able to withstand repeated cleaning and also benefits from excellent stain and moisture resisting properties. Brilliant for areas of high traffic such as corridors and stair cases.

Mixed paints are Non Returnable and Non Refundable. They are made to order, all colours are made using approved manufacturers materials and equipment.
Due to varying screen resolutions, colour swatches shades can vary when mixed in to paint. We would recommend the purchase of a Tester Pot if you are unsure, this would give a more accurate
reference of the colour, also looking at the shade in the home environment would give additional assurance as colours are influenced by there surroundings ( Metamorism ).
It is the customers responsibility to ensure you order the correct colour.
Preparation
- Ensure surface to be painted is sound, clean, dry and free from grease. Remove all loose and defective paint.
- Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of up to 1 part water to 4 parts Hardwearing Matt.
- Prime bare timber and metal surfaces with the appropriate Leyland Primer.
- Rub down sound previously gloss painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly before applying a pre-coat of Leyland Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat.
- Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during preparation of pre-1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
Application
- Stir well before use and apply Leyland Trade Hardwearing Matt by brush, roller or spray.
- We advise application by roller, ideally using a medium pile synthetic type. Do not overfill the tray. Ensure roller is loaded evenly.
- If using a brush, load generously. Apply liberally and evenly; avoid overspreading.
- Under normal conditions, allow 4 hours before applying a second coat if required.
- Do not apply when air or surface temperature is below 10°C.
