Description
Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid Clear Matt is excellent for the protection of all wooden floors such as solid wood flooring, laminates, Blockstrip, Caulk. It is highly suited for use on furniture and it offers a fast dry time. Osmo Polyx Oil Rapid Clear Matt is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It is micro-porous and does not crack, flake, peel or blister. Therefore it is an ideal treatment even in rooms with high humidity. With Polyx Oil Rapid there is no need for priming the surface or sanding between coats – saving time and money.
Abrasion and stain-resistant and water-repellent, Polyx Oil Rapid is even resistant to sweat and saliva, as well as a variety of drinks including tea, coffee, wine, cola and milk.
Preparation
- Ensure the wood surface is sound, clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%).
- Polyx Oil Rapid is ready to use. Do not thin.
- Stir well before use.
- Clean old microporous stains thoroughly.
- Old paints, varnishes and lacquers must be completely removed.
- Always wear a dust mask while sanding. Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood.
- Sand wood surfaces carefully. Begin with coarse sandpaper – final sanding work for flooring P120-150, for furniture P180-240.
- Before oiling the surface, remove sanding dust with a broom or vacuum cleaner.
- The finished surface is influenced by several factors, including the condition of the wood. Therefore, a trial application is always required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.
Application
- Apply with a brush or roller thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well within 10-15 minutes. Wipe away any excess product.
- Allow to dry for approx. 4-5 hours under good ventilation.
- After drying, apply a second coat also thinly and quickly.
- When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.
