Owatrol D1 Pro Saturating Oil For Hardwoods – Honey Gold

Description

Owatrol D1 Pro Saturating Oil is a solvent based easy to use, hard wearing, deep penetrating oil finish for use with typically difficult oily exotic timber species. D1 Pro saturates the wood it is applied to thereby replacing the oils that the wood has previously lost. By expelling air and moisture from the wood and filling the pores with oil, D1 Pro stabilises the wood and provides a durable protection.

Ideal for interior or exterior use with exceptional UV properties. Easy to apply and maintain requiring no sanding. Suitable for both vertical and horizontal surfaces with deep lasting penetration – it will not blister, crack or flake. Owatrol D1 Pro produces a rich matt finish.

Ideal Uses

• Great for use on tropical hardwoods such as Ipe, Teak, Bangkirai, Mahogany etc
• For exterior wooden surfaces such as decking, garden furniture, fences, cladding etc
• For interior wooden surfaces such as floors, stairs, door & window frames etc
• Horizontal & Vertical Surfaces
• Ideal for dense, greasy or difficult to impregnate hardwood.

Caution

• Cover everything you do not wish to coat.
• Apply between 5°C and 35°C. Do not apply in direct sunlight or hot surfaces.
• Do not apply if cold and/ or wet weather is expected within 24 hours.
• Always work the entire length of a board or piece of wood to a logical break. Never stop application in the middle of a board or piece of wood.
• Coat vertical cladding from top to bottom.
• After spray application, always back-brush or back-roll to improve penetration and uniformity of coverage.
• Ensure wood is dry – max 18% moisture content.
• Do not allow to dry between coats – apply D.1 PRO wet-on-wet.

Please Note:

The tannins and natural oils in wood such as Iroko, Azobe, Padouk impede the penetration and drying of finishes. These wood species should be thoroughly prepared or allowed to weather for 12 months before applying D1 Pro.
