Description
Teknos Teknofill 5001-00 is an aqueous product for spot filling of primed wood, suitable for interior and exterior use such as on doors and windows. Comes as a 235ml tube with screw cap.
To be used together with ANTISTAIN AQUA 2901 in order to minimise resin penetration from knots in pine. Teknos Teknofill 5001-00 can be applied by filling knife.
Surface Preparation
- Make sure the primed wood is clean and free from possible contaminants like dust and grease.
- The moisture content of the wood should be approx. 13% and should be no more than 15%.
- Pre-treatment is required for wood substrates not meeting Durability Class 3.
Application
Apply with a Filling Knife.
Application Conditions
- Do not use at temperatures below +5°C or above +25°C.
- For optimum results the temperature of the ambient air, the surface and the product should be between 18°C and 22°C.
- The relative air humidity should be approximately 50%, during the application and drying period.
- Primed parts must always be protected with a topcoat treatment before they are exposed to the influence of the weather.
Drying Times
The drying times will vary as influenced by the amount of product applied to the surface, as well as different surface attributes, the humidity, temperature and ventilation. The following drying times were determined at 23°C and 50% relative humidity:
Fit for sanding and overcoating: 1-3 hours.
Safety Information

- Ensure good ventilation during application and drying. Wear respiratory protection if spraying the product.
- Do not get in eyes, on skin or on clothing.
- IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do, and then continue rinsing.
- IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of water. Do not use solvent or thinners or white spirit.
- IF SWALLOWED: Call a POISON CENTRE or doctor if you feel unwell at all.
