Blockade:

Blockade White Shellac Primer Sealer

Smith & Rodger has manufactured a white shellac primer for the professional market for over 70 years known as ‘Vitalac’. The decision was made to rebrand this product in 2018 and to make it readily available to all painters and decorators – thus ‘Blockade’ was born. The results have been staggering with 450+ Nationals and Independent Merchants now stocking ‘Blockade’ across the UK, The Channel Islands and the Republic of Ireland.

Smith & Rodger’s use of various Social media platforms has been a major driving force behind Blockade’s success with Painters and Decorators UK wide sharing their wonderful reviews in their search for a product that flows better, goes further and smells less pungent than its competitors.

Rocktop

Rock Top Multi Surface Clearcoat

After the success of ‘Blockade’ Smith & Rodger launched its second product into the Trade market with a fast drying, highly durable, clear lacquer, that can be applied onto a multitude of different surfaces. It is Smith & Rodger’s aim that Painters and Decorators up and down the country will have a tin of Rocktop in the back of their van to coat doors, floors, skirting, worktops and well as sealing wallpaper, stone walls, and painted surfaces. Rocktop also increases the scrub-ability of any paint system and is available in Matt, Satin & Gloss finishes.
